Bio
Freya Gooday will be graduating from the University of Montana in 2026 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Minor in Art Criticism and History, and a Certificate in Web Design. Growing up, she experimented with different mediums until ultimately settling on printmaking as her primary way of making. Her work is technically varied as she learns and experiments with new methods in her practice, such as screen printing, linoleum relief, wood block relief, ukiyo-e methods, reduction, multi block, dying paper, and more. Freya worked at the Zootown Arts Community Center from May 2023 to September 2025 and has participated in many of their annual group exhibitions such as The Missoula Monster Project and the Last Best Print Fest. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions at the University of Montana such as the Annual Student Juried Exhibition and the BFA 2026 Prologue Show. She is the acting president of the UM Artist Collective. As she works towards finishing her degree, Freya is looking for new avenues to explore to find a future career in the arts.
